MCBW FORUM

THE SMART REVOLUTION

MCBW FORUM is the central meeting point at MCBW. For nine days products, presentations, speeches, and talks will revolve around the motto of this year’s MCBW, Design connects – the Smart Revolution. Design aficionados, designers, and entrepreneurs can learn about new technologies, visionary concepts and current topics guided by questions that offer food for critical reflection: In what ways do new technologies affect our environment? What impact does digitalization have on people? How smart is this revolution?

The following programs will take place at Forum located near Deutsches Museum in downtown Munich:

  • THE SMART REVOLUTION – THE EXHIBITION
  • MCBW FORUM – EVENTS
  • MCBW FORUM – INFORMATION & MEETING

Curated by bayern design, THE SMART REVOLUTION – THE EXHIBITION is a showcase of approximately 20 items and projects at the interface of new technology and design. It shows the status quo and offers a glance into the future. For better orientation, the exhibits in this showcase of selected revolutionary products are divided into five themed islands: Smart Objects, Smart People, Smart City, Smart Economy, and Smart Brands. Contributors will include world-renowned brands such as Festo, Kunert, Steelcase and Fraunhofer as well as young designers and start-ups.

The Creative Teatime lecture series and other events hosted by MCBW Program Partners have been designed to generate momentum and offer forums for discussing key aspects of the smart revolution.
